The Ponytail: A young girl's right of passage

Your eyes are not deceiving you. That's right. I am donning my very first ponytail. Mommy was just playing around with my hair and she determined that there was enough to go back in a pony. She burst into tears! Afterall, a ponytail is a big deal for a little girl. It is truly a right of passage. I have to say that it did make me feel much more sophisticated.
My pony is still intact even while in the bath.

Rice and Beans

So my favorite thing in the world to eat is rice and beans! I absolutely love the combo! Mommy and Daddy took me out to their favorite mexican restaurant for some rice and beans... look at how excited I get when Mommy sings the "Rice and Beans" song.

Yeah! No school today! Last night it started to snow, and they decided to cancel school today. Mommy and I both get to stay home and play!
Here I am being silly and feeling like a big girl.

How did we ring in the New Year?

By trying out my new potty, of course!
This can't be right either. Daddy, is this how you do it?

Potty Trials continued...

So maybe I should read the instruction manual on how to use this thing.
It says to squat down...

Then have a seat... Is this all there is to it? This is pretty easy. I don't see what the big deal is.

Now this is odd. The manual said that the potty could be used anywhere. That must have been a misprint.
