Good friends and NEW friends!

Last night we went to visit Mommy and Daddy's good friends from college, Matt and Hollie. Matt was Daddy's college roommate, and Hollie was Mommy's college roommate. They just welcomed a new addition to their family, Reid Matthew Keeter. They also have an 18-month-old named Graham- we played together all night while new baby Reid took cat naps.

Thanks, Grandma!

What a nice surprise! Grandma sent me two new dresses that arrived on our front stoop today! Thank you so much, Grandma! I love them!

Sorry there are no pictures to go with this post, but I thought it was too cute to not share. Last night, Shawn was going to be home late, so Phoebe and I decided to go to dinner with Nana and Papa. Phoebe and I were on one side of the booth while Nana and Papa were on the other. Phoebe was truly enjoying her chicken fingers and fries (taking a bite, doing a dance on the seat, taking a bite, doing a dance) when she caught us all by surprise. She leaned over and wrapped her arms around my neck and said, "Best friend, Mama." Just as I thought she was having some sort of out of body experience, she did it again. "Best friend, Mama." Only this time, she finished it off with a kiss on my cheek.

All three of us were completely dumbfounded. If you know Phoebe, you know that she is extremely conservative with her kisses. The beautiful part about it is that she was overcome with this emotion and she let it out. No inhibitions. No regrets. No hesitation. She felt the need to show affection toward me, and she did it. How come adults can't be more like that?

Wow! I learn new things from my two-year-old every day!

For Sale!

Mommy and Daddy are convinced that there is something wrong with our house. It's SHRINKING! Not really, but it seems that way. Monday this beautiful sign went in our yard only to accompany the equally attractive lockbox on the front stoop. Wish us luck!

Bathing suits are so overrated!

It has been so hot and muggy lately, that this has been the perfect activity to cool us down.

Mommy took this picture of me on the last day of Vacation Bible School. By the end of the week I was completely wiped out. We had just gotten home and I cozied up with PIG, paci, and some juice in front of my favorite tv shows. I just needed some time to decompress.
