Snow Days 3 and 4

Yup! Schools were canceled Wednesday and Thursday due to "inclement weather." I have to admit, the novelty has worn off. So what should you do when you are trapped in the house? Make homemade chicken noodle soup. That's what! Actually, that's what Mommy did while I napped. The smell that permeated the house was delectable. The quick and dirty from beginning to end:

This picture has steam and all!

After I woke up from my nap and Mommy literally put the pot of soup on a mound of snow on our deck to freeze, we ventured out to conquer another milestone! Mommy and Daddy took me to my very first movie in a movie theater. We saw Tangled, and I LOVED it! Mommy wasn't so sure how long I would last, so she made sure that we could get a refund if I decided I wasn't into it. In the end that refund was not necessary. I was on the edge of my seat the entire time. I asked a few (okay, more than a few) questions during the movie, but I am sure no one heard me-- there were only 10 people in the theater. I talked about it for the next 24 hours-- Tangled this and Tangled that and the horse is so funny. Mommy keeps telling me the girl's name is Rapunzel, but I call her Tangled.
After my big day yesterday at the movie theater, Mommy and I went to the Disney store to refresh our excitement. I saw the Tangled doll, the figurines, the trailers were playing on the big screen... oh, the fun! To be honest, it was just really good to get out of the house.

Snow Days 1 and 2

Here is the view looking down the street from our front door. Pretty, huh?

Bundled up and ready to go outside. My fever finally broke on Sunday night, and by today I am back to normal.

We just finished shoveling the driveway in hopes of maybe escaping house arrest.

We went for a walk. Looks like this is the only way we are getting out of the house today. The snow was too cold for Daisy Mae, so she rode with me part of the way.

My favorite driver.

One sick puppy

This pretty much sums up Saturday night and all day Sunday. I have been pretty sick this weekend. My temperature reached 103 last night, but it has been coming down slowly all day. All I have wanted to do is lay in Mommy's bed and watch movies. Halfway through the second viewing of Beauty and the Beast, just before my favorite part, "Be Our Guest," my eyelids slammed shut. I couldn't help it. It is supposed to snow tonight and tomorrow, so it looks like school will be canceled and I will get another day to recover.

Girlfriends

Today was the last day for Mommy and me to "play" before we both go back to school. We spent our last holiday playdate with Julia and her mommy. We played on the playground at the mall then up to the food court for some Chick-fil-a. What a great way to finish up our break!

Ch-ch-ch-changes...

Dave and Busters

My Grandpa was in town the last few days so we took the opportunity to do some extra fun things. We went to Dave and Busters one night for dinner and games. Mommy and I tried our hand at skee-ball, but we were not too successful.

I decided that the game I liked best was collecting all the tickets Daddy won from whatever game he was playing. They just kept coming and coming.

What a rush!

By the end of the night I had collected over 1000 tickets-- just enough to win me an authentic Dave and Busters football and a stuffed cow! What a night!
