The whole family went to Youngstown, OH this weekend to celebrate Nana's Home Goin' (as they say in the south). The weekend was bitter-sweet as we had to say goodbye to one of the most wonderful and inspirational women, but we also got to see many people from long ago. By the end of the weekend we were all exhausted. Nana looked absolutely amazing; she was at peace and looked better than I have seen her in years. She was wearing a beautiful pink dress, her cross around her neck, her hair done just right, and her make-up done just as if she had done it herself. What a blessing she was to so many!

Phoebe was a ladybug this year for Halloween. And, thanks to Aunt Martha we now know that the ladybug is the state insect of Ohio.
Papa decided to go out to Dunkin Donuts one night at 10:00. He came back with a dozen donuts. Naturally, Phoebe couldn't be left out. She reached in there and got herself a big chocolate donut. Needless to say, the bedtime schedule was shot!
Here is a picture of Phoebe, Jacob, and Owen reading a book in the airport. They were all such great travelers. It was a great trip to celebrate the life of a wonderful woman.
