October 6-7 PGA teaching professional Shawn Koch, of Alpharetta, who works at Country Club of the South shot a final round two-under par 70 to win the 17th annual Griffin Classic at Griffin Country Club.Koch began the day with a two shot lead over three players, but nobody was able to trim the lead as he pulled away for a four shot victory. Koch continued his fine play of late; he won the Georgia PGA Match Play Championship last month at Callaway Gardens.
