September 23-25 PGA Director of Instruction, Shawn Koch, from the Country Club of the South in Alpharetta won two matches today to capture his first Yamaha Georgia PGA Match Play Championship presented by Bridgestone Golf conducted on the Mountain View Course at beautiful Callaway Gardens.Koch defeated PGA Teaching professional and reigning Georgia PGA Player of the Year Jeff Hull of the University of Georgia Golf Course in the semi-final match 2 & 1. In the afternoon match Koch defeated PGA Director of Instruction Chan Reeves of the Atlanta Athletic Club 5 & 3 to claim his first Georgia PGA Math Play title.
